Valuations of your Hibel art works :

Insurance Purposes

-The Valuations, for a nominal charge, are current retail replacement valuations.   Current retail replacement valuations are ideal for insuring your artwork.

If you would like this service, please send an e-mail to hibelstudioinc@gmail.com  with all of the particulars of the work (size, any markings, colors, name of the work, lithograph edition information, description of the picture you see) including an attached photograph(s) in the case of an original painting (media, size, name, markings on back).  We would like to see in detail any markings and the signature.

Be sure we have your name, mailing address, telephone number and e-mail address so that we may contact you if we have questions.   Dr. Plotkin will contact you with any questions. The report will either be e-mailed back to you or written and mailed.

We are no longer accepting checks for our services.  We are now able to accept credit card or ACH payment for valuation and identification services.  Please contact us at  hibelstudioinc@gmail.com  with your request and we will email an invoice into which you may securely enter credit card or ACH information for payment.  

Tax Purposes

Hibel Studio, Inc. or the Hibel Museum of Art may not provide an independent appraisal for tax purposes.

Check with a local appraiser of art and antiques for an appraisal for tax purposes. If you are considering any type of tax maneuver, you must have an independent certified appraisal for a tax deduction.    

Contact a local art museum or art society for referrals to appraisers or antique dealers who are often appraisers. 

Identification of Your Hibels

 We may also assist to identify your inherited Hibel items when provided with photos and complete descriptions including all markings on the front and back side of the work.   If you would like our services, please send an image file to the above E-mail address and provide your telephone number.  Please include one or more photographs of small image size(1 mg or less) .  We need to see the entire work, and details of any markings or signatures.  Please provide your name and email when contacting us and if you wish to use a credit card for payment.  Email: hibelstudioinc@gmail.com   

 Selling Your Hibel Art

Paintings

This website is not in the business of selling art and does not purchase art at this time.  We suggest locating an art gallery, gift store, antique shop or consignment store in your local community where your items could be placed on consignment.  

Other Artwork (Including Lithographs)

To determine the current economic value of your Hibel paintings, lithographs, prints, plates, dolls and collectibles:

-Consider the current economic market and the stock market which influences the public’s willingness to spend disposable income. 

-If you wish to sell your piece quickly, do not be greedy.

– Alternative venues for selling your art would be local art galleries, antique shops, consignment shops, classified ads, and Internet auction sites.
